Weekend Happenings

And with that, the weekend is over. Boo. This weekend went by so fast I honestly don't remember the details. I'll do my best. :)

Friday after work this little cutie and her mama came by. Isn't Coco the cutest? 

My new(ish?) friend came by for pizza and helped me organize the nursery. She helped tremendously and I'm forever grateful.  

                                       

Little Miss needs a few more giraffes! 

*I'll do another nursery update soon, promise!* But for now the giraffe photo is all you get!

We ripped tags off clothes and sorted by color so I could wash, she moved some things around (for at least the 4th time), and figured out what was still needed. 

..Turns out we needed a lot. 

Saturday morning my husband ran out to return something at BRU and came home with a Boppy! It was something we knew we needed and didn't have yet. I'm sure he was a little embarrassed having to carry that thing around (without a bag) until he got home! 

My husband had to work Saturday (as usual) so my afternoon looked like this: 

All the Lifetime movies were duds. Sigh. 

Saturday night I got a random burst of energy (guess that's what happens when you sit around for 3 hours) and cleaned. Oh! And made a yummy dinner. 

Sunday morning I woke up and knew we had to be productive..my husband clearly thought otherwise.

All kidding aside he's been a huge help around the house as of late. Sunday is always our laundry day and he knows I despise folding clothes. 

After lunch we headed out to BRU. We had our registry completion coupon that was about to expire, and not to mention a bunch of gift cards. 

We snagged the Pack 'N Play and we're totally excited about it. Of course the napper on the top is crooked, so I created a little list for my FIL. :) 

Oh, ya like how it's all just hanging in our dining room area? Our apartment looks like a day care. 

I'm super blessed that my FIL likes to be put to work. Even more blessed that he will be here on Friday. 

When we opened our sound machine it just plain didn't work. Hopefully it's something simple because I really don't want to go back to BRU...always something! 

And this morning, on my busiest day of the week, my office looked like this: 

Yup. Bet ya can't guess how today went.

Weekend Happenings

Where the heck did the weekend go? It always starts out so slow and then Sunday zooms by way too quickly. Oh well. 

Friday I did my usual-- work, workout, take the dogs on an insanely long walk while talking on the phone, read, etc etc. 

It was so beautiful out and really started to feel like fall. The dogs and I walked for a good hour and played around with their friends: Milo, Molly, Parker, and I forget the names of the two obnoxious dogs that run around with their funny owner. 

Saturday BG got a few presents in the mail and my goodness is her nursery starting to look like an episode of Hoarders! I refuse to clean/organize until we get back from our shower, so for now the door is staying shut. 

Henry has been sitting in the crib for at least 3 weeks. Poor guy. 

Speaking of gifts for BG, my friend Jennifer sent the sweetest little basket of goodies! We decided to gift each other with push presents. She's due in November with a little girl so we picked a price, set a date to mail our gifts, and waiting anxiously for our boxes! It was so much fun. 

I'll post more about it in detail later, but this mama was loving the candy corn & Burt's Bees body lotion! 

She said she got the basket from Etsy. Isn't it adorable?

...And then there's Cocoa driving me batty! She just sat like that while I attempted a nap during a Lifetime movie. It lasted about 13 seconds until I took them both for a walk. 

That pretty much sums up Sunday.. trying to relax and catch up on sleep but had two little energetic poodles bouncing at my feet all day! 

My husband and I watched an episode of the show Modern Dads on A&E and we liked it! Definitely a cute show just to watch if you're bored. 

Sunday night I was able to catch up on emails, get myself ready for the work week, and finally crashed around 11. 

That's all I can think of. We definitely needed a weekend to relax/regroup..it was so needed! xO

Weekend Happenings

It's already Monday, boo. The good news is that it's a beautiful day out-- blue sky and 64 degrees. I am so excited to take the dogs out and be outside.

The bad news is my husband is not feeling well. Poor guy. I honestly think it's just allergies but he is totally milking this (as his mom would say).. still in bed and I just brought him a kit kat bar.

Let's see, Friday (I count Friday as a weekend) Cocoa had her little boyfriend over for a play date.

Alien eyes

By "play date" I mean Cocoa sat on the top of the couch and Oreo chased her boyfriend around our 1,300 square foot apartment. 

I wore this bracelet for the first time and I love it! I'm a big believer that if you dress cute during the day, you can change your whole perspective on the day. And at 7 1/2 months pregnant, dressing "cute" is not what you're imagining. 

While my husband was at work on Saturday afternoon, Oreo learned how to sit like a big boy (ahem, at 4 years old). The picture on the left is how he always used to sit (on his booty), and the picture on the right is as good as it gets. 

He only sits like he should for cheerios. So basically he never sits like a big boy. But hey, we're working on it. 

Saturday afternoon looked something like this.

A couple weeks ago I caught an episode of Dance Moms and I fell in love, hard. And when my extreme pregnancy exhaustion strikes at 2PM? This is my view. 

I totally recommend Dance Moms, by the way. I definitely don't recommend letting the dogs sit near your belly because they will jump on it when they hear a noise. Sigh. 

Two calls to the Dr and 20 minutes on hold later, BG is totally content by the way. 

Yeah, I can rock 3AM like nobody's business. 

Guess that's what happens when you sleep for 2-3 hours while watching Dance Moms..you're up all night ready to party. 

Little Oreo was also ready to party. We watched infomercials, returned emails, Tweeted, and ready my October 2013 moms board. 

The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding

Last week was World Breastfeeding Week. While I'm not currently bf'ing I thought it was a perfect time to finish this book. 

I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends who not only recommend this book, but have given me so much information and courage to feed my baby girl! 

Closetmaid Cubeical

Our cube unit (more on that back here) arrived Saturday afternoon, so Sunday morning my husband got straight to work. He's such a good dad to be! 

The other giant box is her crib. He should be working on that today, but we'll see how he's feeling. The room is starting to take shape and while it's no Pottery Barn, it is functional. 

With that being said, there is no way this little "cubeical" is going to hold all her crap. 

And we discovered last night that I got paint on my husband's favorite Syracuse shirt. Oops. :( He was so sad. Luckily our baby shower is in Syracuse so I'm hoping I'll be able to sneak away and pick him up a new one. 

And last but not least, my 29 week belly! To be honest I just feel round all over..not any bigger or anything. My husband says it's the shirt. This was taken yesterday-- 29W1D.
